Ken Salazar: Threat or Menace?

[Media] Here's a case where a reader has to ask: "Were these reporters at the same press conference?"

Prez-elect Barack Obama today officially announced Sen. Ken Salazar, D-Colo., as his choice for Secretary of the Interior.

The New York Times headlined its story this way.

The Salt Lake Tribune headlined its story this way, with Tribune reporter Thomas Burr adding: Environmental groups heralded Salazar's appointment.

  1. So, what's your point? Doesn't this happen all the time? What we, the readers, get is always filtered through reporters and their own ideas. Every headline ever written has its opposite in some other newspaper.

  2. Here's the real story on Ken Salazar: he's a clown. In the press conference announcing his nomination for Secretary of the Interior -- which was held INDOORS --, there is Salazar wearing a big Stetson on his head.
